Peels are one of the most useful tools for pigmentation and melasma. A course of gentle peels, combined with daily SPF and a pigment-controlling routine, can gradually lighten patches. Melasma can return with sun and heat, so maintenance is important.
Chemical peel for acne and acne scars
Salicylic and mandelic acid peels go into the pores to clear oil and reduce breakouts. Peels can also fade red and brown marks left after acne. For deep, pitted acne scars, peels work best alongside microneedling or laser.
Recovery and aftercare
After a light peel your skin may feel tight or slightly pink for a day. After medium peels, skin peels over 5–7 days. Do not pick or scrub the peeling skin, use a gentle cleanser and moisturiser, and apply SPF 50 every day. Avoid saunas, heavy exercise and direct sun for a few days.
